About the Role
As a Distributed Systems Engineer at arenaflex, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects, including:
- Designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance
- Collaborating with engineers, product managers, and technical program managers across teams to drive cross-functional initiatives
- Contributing to the development of our data infrastructure, including database access, data platform foundation, big data processing, and big data orchestration
- Participating in the open-source community, sharing our experiences and contributing to arenaflex OSS
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop large-scale distributed systems, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cross-functional initiatives
- Contribute to the development of our data infrastructure, including database access, data platform foundation, big data processing, and big data orchestration
- Participate in the open-source community, sharing our experiences and contributing to arenaflex OSS
- Work closely with engineers, product managers, and technical program managers to drive the success of our data-driven initiatives
Requirements
* 2+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems features or applications
- Proficient in the design and development of RESTful web services
- Experienced in building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems
- Knowledgeable in Java or other object-oriented programming languages
- Comfortable with multi-threading and concurrency
- BS in Computer Science or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, such as AWS or GCP
- Familiarity with containerization, such as Docker
- Knowledge of data storage systems, such as NoSQL databases
- Experience with data processing frameworks, such as Apache Spark
- Familiarity with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD
