What are important things that YOU need to know about this role?

  • Eligibility: Candidate must be a resident of one of the following states to qualify for this opportunity: AZ, FL, MO, NV, TX, WA and WI
  • Remote: This position is open to work remotely in any of the states listed above
  • Experience: Candidates with experience in the PT, OT or ST fields will be given preference.

What will YOU be doing for us? Work directly with provider's offices and client to obtain medical information to address any potential issues leading to problems with claims processing or payments. What will YOU be working on every day?

  • Request EOBs and Medical Records from provider's office via email, fax or by calling.
  • Submit EOBs and Medical Records obtained from provider's office to client.
  • Ensure all EOBs and Medical Records are attached to all pending claims that require information.
  • Maintain detailed notes in proprietary web based systems to ensure proper communication is made to providers regarding medical claim status.
  • Work in conjunction with the Billing and Claims department for claim write offs when requested information has not been received.
  • Work in conjunction with the Accounts Receivable department to better understand what information is needed for better workflows.
  • Answer incoming call queue calls, emails and voicemails and provide great customer service while doing so.
  • Call client to verify EOBs and Medical Records were received and retrieve the document control number and call reference number. During this process, ensure client has all claims sent back to reprocess with the information we supplied.

What qualifications do YOU need to have to be GOOD candidate?

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of office related experience
  • Entry level knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/Teams
  • Entry level knowledge of Ring Central/Slack/Zoom
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks
  • Ability to remain organized with multiple interruptions
  • Ability to work in a HIPAA compliant remote environment
  • Ability to successfully communicate with colleagues and clients in a remote setting

What qualifications do YOU need to have to be a GREAT candidate?

  • Associates degree in Business, Finance or related field
  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL
  • 3+ years of banking or finance related experience
  • Knowledge of health care and/or physical therapy terminology, coding, and operations

The salary range and midpoint is listed below for your reference. Please keep in mind that your education and experience along with your knowledge, skills and abilities are taken into consideration when determining placement within the range.

Range $17.77 - $26.70 per hour
