PACS Technical Project Manager
PACS Technical Project Manager Location: Remote - work done on EST hours Length of Contract: 12 months + possible extension / conversion to Perm. Hourly Pay: 80-88 p/hr on W2 40 hours per week Background Check Required W2 Contract Only The Technical Project Manager primarily manages technical image data migration projects and coordinates complex technical work efforts across various Medical Imaging Informatics and Digital Core Technology teams. Specific Initiatives for this assignment include:
- Project Management and technical analysis related to PACS Platform upgrades and infrastructure refreshes planned for FY2026, working with Digital & Medical Imaging
Informatics Teams. Systems include the VNA, Image Routing solution & Epic Clinical Viewer.
- Coordinate and Support Image and Radiology Results Data migration activity.
- Participate in the comprehensive assessment of the Medical Imaging IT Platform, plan and execute the Image Data Migration from On-Prem PACS VNA to a Cloud Platform.
- Apply technical expertise to assess systems architecture, analyze IT systems and applications for redundancy, technology fitness, and total cost of ownership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and priorities.
- Support Senior Medical Imaging IT Leadership in planning and execution of technically complex efforts with competing demands.
- Assist with administrative activities related to budget preparations, supply chain, architecture decisions.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Prior experience as a technical project manager, application or business analyst in Healthcare IT, Imaging Informatics or related field. 5+ years of program / project management or business analysis preferred. Strong organizational and coordination skills. Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills Outstanding business process analysis skills. Familiarity with Radiology Information Systems (PACS, RIS, VR) in general and industry standards such as HL7 and DICOM. Skill and experience in project assessments, scope definition, follow-up and status reporting. Ability to effectively document, analyze and maintain rapidly evolving business requirements. Requires minimal direction from leadership and possesses the ability to learn quickly. Ability to prioritize and manage various competing tasks. Ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership, operations and other IT resources.
