Senior Medical Writer, Medical Affairs
The Senior Medical Writer will play a key role in developing high‑quality scientific content for medical affairs audiences, supporting client communications strategy, and collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Develop accurate, engaging, and strategically aligned scientific content, including:
- Scientific slide decks
- Medical affairs training materials
- Advisory board content
- Scientific narratives and messaging
- Congress materials (posters, abstracts, slides)
- Literature reviews and evidence summaries
- Interpret and communicate clinical and scientific data in a clear and compelling manner.
- Ensure all content adheres to scientific accuracy, regulatory requirements, and applicable guidelines (e.g., GPP, ICMJE).
- Partner with account leads and subject matter experts to support medical affairs strategy and communication priorities.
- Incorporate feedback from clients and internal reviewers efficiently and effectively.
- Contribute scientific expertise to internal brainstorms, project kickoffs, and planning discussions.
- Manage timelines, deliver high‑quality work within deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Participate in client calls and serve as a scientific resource for assigned accounts.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical writing experience within a medical communications agency or similar scientific communications setting.
- Advanced scientific degree strongly preferred (PhD, PharmD, MD, or relevant MS).
- Demonstrated experience working with clinical data and developing medical affairs deliverables.
- Strong understanding of clinical research, therapeutic landscapes, and evidence-based communication.
- Exceptional writing, editing, organization, and project management skills.
- Ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality.
- Comfortable collaborating across remote teams and interacting with clients.
- A proactive, team‑oriented mindset and a commitment to scientific rigor.
