Data Engineer /Power BI Developer

• Develop and optimize scalable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using tools like Informatica, Talend, and Shell Scripting to ensure efficient data flow from diverse sources such as AWS, Azure Data Lake, Hadoop, and Oracle databases.
• Design and implement data models and database schemas in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and Data Warehouse environments to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Build interactive dashboards and reports utilizing Power BI and Looker to deliver clear visualizations that facilitate strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts on model training, analysis skills enhancement, and integrating machine learning outputs into business workflows.
• Manage big data processing using Apache Hive, Spark, Hadoop ecosystem components, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Develop RESTful APIs for seamless data integration across platforms while maintaining security standards.
• Write Python scripts or Bash shell scripts for automation tasks such as data cleansing, validation, or system monitoring in an Agile development environment.
• Conduct database design reviews, optimize SQL queries for performance tuning, and implement best practices in database management.
• Support the deployment of analytics solutions on cloud platforms like AWS or Azure by leveraging services such as Azure Data Lake or AWS analytics tools.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or Power BI Developer with a strong background in designing scalable data pipelines and building analytical dashboards.
• Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms including AWS and Azure Data Lake services.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Python for data processing tasks.
• Extensive knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive), Spark, and related tools for large-scale data processing.
• Strong understanding of SQL databases including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and experience with Data Warehouse architecture.
• Familiarity with ETL tools such as Talend or Informatica for efficient data integration workflows.
• Experience working within Agile teams to deliver iterative solutions that meet evolving business requirements.
• Ability to analyze complex datasets using advanced analysis skills to identify trends and insights that influence strategic decisions.
• Knowledge of linked data concepts for integrating diverse datasets across multiple sources seamlessly.
• Additional skills in VBA scripting or Bash shell scripting are considered advantageous for automation tasks.
