Responsibilities:
As a Specialty Testing Customer Service Support Representative, you will be responsible for:
- Providing assistance to clients and patients regarding questions or inquiries related to insurance coverage, financial responsibilities, and/or billing
- Collaborating with other departments to resolve reimbursement opportunities
- Receiving and processing credit card payments over the phone, adhering to PCI compliance protocols
- Initiating payment plans for patients for outstanding balances
- Documenting telephone conversations clearly and accurately in the respective systems
- Updating and maintaining records in the billing system, including the review of accounts, payment collections, and case notes
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines/regulations
- Assisting with other duties as assigned
Key Qualifications:
* Associates degree with at least 1+ year prior relevant work experience OR High School diploma/GED equivalent with at least 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Prior Healthcare experience strongly preferred, with a strong preference given to professional medical billing and collection practices
- Ability to interpret and apply understanding of insurance explanation of benefits (EOB) strongly preferred
- Previous customer service experience handling high call volume strongly preferred
- Medicare/Medicaid billing experience preferred
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes strongly preferred
- Experience with Laboratory Billing and Laboratory Information System (LIS) preferred
- Working knowledge of prior authorization preferred
- Understanding of Women's Health & Genetics Moms Helping Moms of Tomorrow processes preferred
- XIFIN experience preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

- Ability to follow established program protocols and procedures
- Ability to review large amounts of data for accuracy
- Must be organized and detail-oriented
- Computer proficiency - MS Windows, MS Office, and database experience
Physical and Remote Technical Requirements:
* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Remote Technical Requirements:
+ Internet speed of at least 50 megabytes per second + Ability to connect equipment to router/modem with Ethernet cord + Equipment cannot be connected through Wi-Fi or satellite internet
