As a key member of our Clinical Access Centralized Scheduling Department, you will be responsible for handling incoming calls, performing patient scheduling and referral work, and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
As a Scheduler/Customer Service Representative I in Cardiology, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Handling incoming calls to address eligibility, claim, and payment issues, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of customer inquiries
- Performing patient scheduling and referral work, utilizing computerized scheduling systems to manage high volumes of procedures
- Providing quality service and customer satisfaction through effective communication and education, ensuring a positive experience for our patients
- Researching and resolving telephone inquiries related to customer service, demonstrating a commitment to resolving issues efficiently and effectively
- Scheduling a high volume of procedures for patients, accurately obtaining required information in the scheduling process
- Responsible for order entry process, communications, guest relations, and medical record maintenance, ensuring seamless coordination with our healthcare teams
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years of customer service experience, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional patient care
- Experience with medical insurance in a hospital or physician's office setting, specifically in Cardiology preferred
- Experience scheduling patient appointments, with a strong understanding of scheduling systems and processes
- High volume call center experience preferred, with a proven track record of handling complex customer inquiries
- Epic EMR experience preferred, with a strong understanding of electronic medical records and scheduling systems
- Data entry skills, with the ability to accurately and efficiently enter patient information and scheduling data
Nice-to-Haves

- Experience working in a hybrid or remote work environment
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with arenaflex's electronic medical records system and scheduling software
