Job Summary

As a Remote Medical Encoder at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of healthcare data. You will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and coding diagnostic and procedural information from medical records using standardized classification systems. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and knowledge of medical terminology will enable you to accurately capture and code data, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurate Data Coding: Review, analyze, and code diagnostic and procedural information from medical records using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

• Data Management: Input and manage data into the system while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations, maintaining data integrity and consistency across all platforms.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify diagnoses or obtain additional information if required, ensuring seamless communication and accurate data capture.
• Knowledge Management: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical coding guidelines, payer requirements, and coding trends, staying current with industry developments and updates.
• Quality Assurance: Audit records for discrepancies and make necessary corrections, ensuring data accuracy and quality.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and performance reviews, enhancing your skills and knowledge to stay ahead in the field.

Essential Qualifications

• Certification: Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent medical coding certification.

• Coding Knowledge: Solid understanding of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, with the ability to apply coding standards and guidelines accurately.
• Analytical Skills: High attention to detail and accuracy, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure data integrity and quality.

Preferred Qualifications
