Job Summary

As a Customer Retail Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and excellence in the grocery channel by developing and executing sales and merchandising strategies that meet or exceed revenue, distribution, and share targets. You will work closely with our sales team, customers, and agency partners to ensure effective execution of customer agreements and promotional programs. Your expertise in sales, merchandising, and customer service will be essential in building strong relationships with customers and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop, enhance, and leverage field customer relationships to drive sales growth and excellence

  • Execute sales and shelving strategies to achieve and surpass revenue, distribution, and share targets for all assigned customers
  • Ensure effective execution of customer agreements and promotional programs
  • Maintain an effective communication process with agency counterparts to ensure alignment and execution of retail priorities
  • Work in a team environment with Account Leads and team leadership to maximize growth opportunities
  • Foster thought leadership through strong engagement and effective communication
  • Display a growth mindset through best-in-class execution while elevating and influencing others

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

* Develop and execute sales and merchandising strategies to drive revenue, distribution, and share growth for assigned customers

  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and challenges
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, agency partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure effective execution of customer agreements and promotional programs
  • Monitor and report on sales performance and market trends
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales and merchandising strategies
  • Provide coaching and guidance to sales team members to ensure effective execution of sales and merchandising strategies

Expected Experience & Required Skills

* 3+ years of experience in sales, merchandising, or customer service in the grocery channel

  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and excellence in the grocery channel
  • Strong understanding of sales and merchandising strategies and tactics
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid Driver's License with a favorable driving record
  • Ability to be present and working in stores as early as 7:30AM Monday – Friday based on business needs
  • Ability to be available to work during the weeks leading up to days of critical business need (national holidays plus the big game)

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in the CPG industry, with a focus on the grocery channel

  • Strong understanding of sales and merchandising strategies and tactics in the grocery channel
  • Experience working with agency partners and customers in the grocery channel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and market trends
  • Ability to work in a team environment with Account Leads and team leadership to maximize growth opportunities

Work Environment & Schedule

* This position is considered a Field-based environment, requiring frequent travel to customer locations, stores, manufacturing facilities, etc.

  • Ability to work a salaried, exempt schedule to best execute against customer and internal expectations
  • Physical demands include but not limited to:

+ Operating an electronic and viewing screens for ~100% of work schedule + Lifting materials with a maximum weight of 50lbs

Total Rewards

* New Hire Base Salary Range: $68,900.00 – $86,100.00

  • Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents
