Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our Housing and Food Services team. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling cash transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Key Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

  • Handle cash transactions, including posting, closing, and handling of cash, campus dining dollars, credit cards, and other transactions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including keeping areas neat and orderly and maintaining a stock of supplies.
  • Use a computerized cash register to process transactions and manage inventory.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance customer service skills and knowledge.

Requirements and Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.

  • 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Basic math skills and ability to use a computerized cash register.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a higher education setting or customer-facing environment.

  • Knowledge of cash handling procedures and policies.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages.
  • Experience with computerized cash registers and point-of-sale systems.
