Job Summary

As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician – Data Entry Transplant, you will play a vital role in helping patients navigate the complex healthcare system. You will work closely with our team to ensure that patients receive the right medications, at the right time, and with the right support. Your responsibilities will include:

• Routing questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion
• Making outbound calls/faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes
• Working in a high-production environment, multitasking between patient referrals while maintaining excellent customer service
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Collaborating with the pharmacy team to resolve issues and improve patient outcomes

Key Responsibilities

* Data Entry: + Accurately and efficiently enter patient data into our system + Verify patient information, including demographics and medication lists + Update patient records as necessary

• Customer Service:

+ Respond to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner + Provide clear and concise information about medications, dosages, and potential side effects + Resolve issues and concerns in a fair and empathetic manner

• Communication:

+ Make outbound calls to physicians and other healthcare professionals to clarify prescription information + Fax prescriptions and other documents as required + Collaborate with the pharmacy team to resolve issues and improve patient outcomes

• Compliance:

+ Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and state-specific laws + Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient information and medication lists

Essential Qualifications

* 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician

• Pharmacy Tech Certified in the state of GA
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems

Preferred Qualifications

* Specialty pharmacy experience

• Call center experience
• Prescription adjudication experience, including communicating with prescribers regarding case status and assessing prescription claim issues
