How You'll Help Us Keep Climbing (Overview & Key Responsibilities)
The Marketing Intelligence team at arenaflex plays a critical role in leveraging data to provide actionable insights and enhance our Marketing capabilities. We're seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our team, who will guide a dedicated team of data engineers focused on the seamless collection and integration of customer data. As the Senior Manager of Customer & Performance Data Solutions, you'll be essential in managing core data functions that enable insightful business analytics and foster data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management:
+ Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and QA specialists to drive success and growth. + Oversee the day-to-day operations of the data solutions team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. + Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
Data Strategy & Planning:
+ Develop and implement strategies for data ingestion, enhancement, and utilization to drive business growth. + Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data needs and prioritize projects. + Guide the Marketing department as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on data availability, usage, and best practices.
Data Management:
+ Ensure seamless data collection and harmonization tailored for performance reporting. + Oversee the development and maintenance of data acquisition pipelines, ETL processes, and data storage solutions. + Ensure data quality, availability, accessibility, and accuracy through robust processes and checks.
Project Execution:
+ Manage and execute projects related to data solutions requests. + Collaborate with internal and external teams to assess and scope data needs to meet business needs. + Lead the automation of manual data processes, checks, and audits to enhance efficiency and improve accuracy.
Innovation & Improvement:
+ Explore and implement new data analytics solutions and platforms to support data democratization across the department. + Build data products for customer-specific use-cases and business needs. + Drive continuous improvement in data management practices and tools.

What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

3+ Years of Experience:
Manage technical teams and projects with a strong track record of success.
4+ Years of Experience:
Lead an Engineering team familiar with large cloud environments, Big Data technologies, and data engineering principles.
10+ Years of Development Experience:
Proven experience in development with Teradata, SAS, SQL, Python, and other data manipulation languages.
Demonstrated Ability:
Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proven ability to lead and manage data engineering teams.
Verified Track Record:
Design and implement data platform migrations, manage multiple parallel projects, and deliver quality releases on schedule.
Deep Knowledge:
Traditional data warehousing (models, practices, and processes), cloud-based data warehouses, data lakes, and data streaming.
Exceptional System Design Abilities:
High-scale ETL/ELT pipelines, leveraging Python, and proficiency in SQL, SAS, Teradata, Python, AWS S3, and Redshift.
Ability to Communicate Complex Data Concepts:
Effectively communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities:
Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
Excellent Leadership, Team Management, and Interpersonal Skills:
Embracing diverse people, thinking, and styles.
High School Diploma or Equivalent:
Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
Age and Authorization:
Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States.

Experience Working with Large and Complex Data Sets:
Proven experience working with large and highly complex data sets.
Experience Working in arenaflex Operations and the Airline Industry:
Familiarity with arenaflex's internal data ecosystem and experience working in the airline industry.
Adobe Analytics and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Product Experience:
Familiarity with Adobe Analytics and Salesforce Marketing Cloud products.
