Job Summary

As a Paraprofessional at Glenwood High School, you will play a critical role in supporting the classroom teacher in providing a positive, safe, and academically challenging learning environment for students. You will assist the teacher in instructional matters, provide individualized support to students, and contribute to the overall success of the school community.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist the classroom teacher in providing a positive, safe, and academically challenging learning environment for students.

• Assist the teacher in instructional matters, including lesson planning, implementation, and assessment.
• Provide individualized support to students, including tutoring, mentoring, and behavioral support.
• Contribute to the overall success of the school community through collaborative efforts with teachers, staff, and parents.
• Maintain accurate records and reports, including student progress and attendance.

Essential Qualifications

* Must be 19 years of age or older.

• Show proof of one (1) of the following requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree or higher.
• 60 semester hours of college coursework.
• High School Diploma or High School Equivalency AND Passing score on ACT Work Keys Test OR Passing score on ETS ParaPro Test.
• Hold one (1) of the following licenses:
• Professional Educator's License (PEL).
• Substitute License (SUB).
• Educator License with Stipulations- (ELS-PARA).

* Experience working with students in a educational setting.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents.

• Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
