Experienced Treasury Customer Service Representative – Unclaimed Property Reunification Specialist

Job Summary

As a Treasury Customer Service Representative, you will play a critical role in researching requests, reviewing legal documents, and providing excellent customer service to claimants. You will be responsible for maintaining confidentiality of data, resolving problems, and ensuring that all interactions with customers are professional, courteous, and respectful. Key Responsibilities

* Research requests from claimants to determine the rightful ownership of property consisting of cash, securities, and/or safe deposit box contents

  • Review and analyze a wide variety of legal documents, including probate court documents, wills, trusts, death certificates, and court orders
  • Provide exceptional customer service in a call center environment, responding to customer inquiries and resolving problems in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain confidentiality of data and ensure that all interactions with customers are secure and compliant with regulatory requirements
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required

  • One year of experience responding to customer inquiries and resolving problems (Treasury Customer Service Representative 6)
  • Two years of experience responding to customer inquiries and resolving problems, including one year equivalent to a Treasury Customer Service Representative 6 (Treasury Customer Service Representative 7)
  • Three years of experience responding to customer inquiries and resolving problems, including two years equivalent to a Treasury Customer Service Representative 6 or one year equivalent to a Treasury Customer Service Representative 7 (Treasury Customer Service Representative E8)

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a call center environment

  • Knowledge of unclaimed property laws and regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Relocation Requirements

This position requires relocation to Michigan, with the option to work remotely after a period of on-site training. Selected candidates must have a safe and appropriate designated workspace or workstation for performance of work and secure and sufficient internet access of commercial cable or wireless broadband with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
