Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Medical Customer Service Representative to join our remote team. As a Medical Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional phone support to hospitals and patients, handling billing inquiries, and ensuring that patients receive the information they need. You will also be responsible for data entry, problem-solving, and connecting callers seamlessly to the most suitable person within the company.
Responsibilities
As a Medical Customer Service Representative, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing exceptional phone support to hospitals and patients, handling billing inquiries in a timely and efficient manner
- Assisting patients effectively by clarifying their questions and ensuring they receive the information they need
- Problem-solving champion: Working through issues by pinpointing the root cause, researching solutions, implementing the best option, and escalating unresolved matters when necessary
- Data entry specialist: Maintaining accurate patient records by inputting information into the hospital's computer system
- Connecting callers seamlessly: Routing incoming calls to the most suitable person within the company
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Experience working in a call center, preferably in a medical claims and/or insurance setting
- Epic Software experience is highly preferred
- Bi-lingual skills are a plus
- Ability to undergo a criminal background check, prove ownership of a High School Diploma, GED, or transcripts, and complete a drug screen testing (testing for THC)
- High-speed internet with a minimum of 50 Mbps download/20 Mbps upload speed, with the ability to hard wire via Ethernet cable
- Ability to work from home in a quiet setting with no others within earshot, due to HIPAA compliance, including a workspace to accommodate two monitors and a computer
