Job Summary
As a Customer Service/Sales Representative at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in providing fast, friendly service to our customers. You'll be responsible for assessing customer needs, providing product information, and making recommendations to drive sales. You'll work closely with your department supervisor and other associates to maintain a safe and clean shopping environment, and you'll be expected to stay up-to-date on product knowledge and sales techniques.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional customer service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance
- Learn about products using our tools and provide information to customers to sell an entire project
- Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department
- Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
- Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards
- Work in cooperation with your department supervisor and other associates in your department and other departments
- Participate in sales promotions and events to drive business growth
Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in a home improvement or retail environment
- Knowledge of building materials, tools, and equipment
- Familiarity with sales techniques and product knowledge
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
