As a Part-Time Remote Data Entry Specialist, you'll be an integral part of our American Airlines operations team, working closely with our Fleet Engineering Team within the Technical Operations Division. This team is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving operational issues on transport category aircraft, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.

What You'll Do

As a Part-Time Remote Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for providing engineering support on various aircraft systems and improving associated reliability through project management. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Staying informed of day-to-day airline operations involving your field of responsibility
• Assessing daily priorities in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives
• Investigating aircraft/component problems that may cause delays or cancellations, substantial expenditures in manpower or materials, or interruptions in maintenance operations, and determining appropriate corrective actions
• Providing engineering support as required for disposition of discrepant conditions affecting aircraft or components to restore serviceable status
• Responding to requests from Maintenance and other airline departments when technical assistance is required to support projects or resolve problems
• Developing action plans for fleet/multi-fleet and/or component engineering projects and pursuing final dispositions according to assessed priorities
• Coordinating with other airline departments, as required, to provide for effective and efficient implementation of engineering dispositions
• Preparing engineering documents to implement technical dispositions by providing customized procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance actions that provide benefits in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives

Essential Qualifications

• A strong background in engineering or a related field
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures
