Position Summary
We're seeking a Senior Customer Service Representative to join our remote team, supporting our Florida and New York offices. This is a full-time, work-from-home position that requires a strong and diverse skillset in customer service, medical terminology, and insurance. As a Senior Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for handling customer inquiries and problems via telephone, internet, or written correspondence. You'll work closely with our team to maintain high performance metrics, apply our Aetna Core Values, and create a differentiated service experience for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle incoming calls from members and providers regarding claims status, benefits, and eligibility, PPO participation, and other related inquiries
- Maintain department-established performance metrics at a meets or exceeds expectations level
- Work together as a team and apply the Aetna Core Values in day-to-day operations
- Create a differentiated service experience for our clients
- Demonstrate service discipline and handle service challenges effectively
- Provide solutions to constituent needs and work across boundaries to resolve issues
Required Qualifications
* Call center and medical terminology/insurance experience
- Experience working in a production environment
- Computer savvy with excellent multi-tasking skills
- Results-oriented and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business, communications, healthcare)
- Experience working in a customer-facing role, preferably in the healthcare industry
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance, and healthcare regulations
- Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g., Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR))
