Job Responsibilities
As a SAP Basis Administrator at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our SAP systems and applications. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining SAP systems, including SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/BI, and SAP GRC
- Performing routine system maintenance tasks, such as client duplication, system duplication, client export/import, and system refresh
- Monitoring system performance, investigating issues, and optimizing system resources to ensure high availability and performance
- Managing the SAP Transport Management System (TMS) for shipping changes between SAP systems
- Planning and executing backup and recovery strategies for SAP systems
- Designing and managing interfaces and integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems
- Analyzing system performance metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing performance tuning measures to improve system performance
- Maintaining accurate documentation of SAP system designs, methodologies, and standards
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies (SOX, PCI, Corporate, etc.)
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- At least 7 years of experience as a SAP Basis Administrator or in a similar role with a medium to large-sized organization
- Proven expertise in SAP installation, setup, and maintenance
- SAP certifications are a plus
- Excellent DB2 and AIX skills and experience
- In-depth knowledge of SAP technologies, architecture, and components
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest SAP technologies and trends
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours for system maintenance and support activities
- Strong commitment to maintaining system security and data integrity
- Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:
- Experience with SAP Transport Management System (TMS)
- Knowledge of SAP Cloud Platform and SAP Cloud Foundry
- Experience with DevOps and automation tools
- Certification in SAP Basis Administration
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
