Key Responsibilities
As an Experienced Full Stack Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:
- Navigating our electronic health record system to obtain and validate historical information, capture and document demographic and financial information, and maintain patient privacy and security as outlined by HIPAA.
- Managing a high volume of incoming calls from patients, healthcare providers, and facilities, ensuring resolution to the call and providing excellent customer service in a variety of situations.
- Leveraging critical thinking with speed and accuracy to identify the reason for the call and take appropriate action based on caller need and acuity.
- Scheduling patient visits based on complex provider preferences, verifying and updating insurance, and collecting and documenting demographics.
- Maintaining proficiency in and sharing knowledge of insurance basics, MyChart, and appointment instructions, and communicating directly with providers (physicians) to relay pertinent clinical information during after hours.
- Managing calls within established performance and customer service standards, achieving targeted abandoned call rate, average speed of answer, and average transaction time.
Preferred Qualifications
* 2-5 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or a related field.
- Recent healthcare or customer service experience is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, providers, and external organizations.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and ability to navigate complex healthcare systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.
Minimum Requirements
* High School Diploma or GED.
- 2-5 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or a related field.
