Job Summary

As a Data Entry Specialist - Overnight Shift, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering patient, client, billing, and test information into our Laboratory Information System. You will also be required to follow HIPAA regulations and Compliance standards, answer and direct incoming client calls, and cross-train in accessioning. Key Responsibilities

* Enter patient, client, billing, and test information into the Laboratory Information System with high accuracy and efficiency

• Follow HIPAA regulations and Compliance standards to ensure confidentiality and security of patient information
• Answer and direct incoming client calls in a professional and courteous manner
• Cross-train in accessioning, accurately identifying, sorting, and labeling specimens for testing
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy throughout the data entry process
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless operation of laboratory services

Essential Qualifications

* High School Diploma or equivalent

• Excellent computer skills, including typing (8,000 keystrokes/hour)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in data entry or a related field

• Knowledge of laboratory information systems and compliance regulations
• Certification in medical terminology or a related field
• Experience working in a healthcare or laboratory setting
