About the Position

As a Data Entry Operator, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering data into our prescribed database, files, and computer forms. You will also be responsible for verifying data, correcting errors, and updating information as needed. Strong typing skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare, compile, and sort documents for data entry and northern customs.

  • Check source documents for accuracy and verify data.
  • Correct errors and update information as needed.
  • Obtain additional information for incomplete documents.
  • Update data and delete unnecessary files.
  • Combine and reorder source document data where necessary.
  • Enter data from source documents into the prescribed database, files, and computer forms.
  • Transcribe information into the required electronic format.
  • Scan documents into document management systems or databases.
  • Check the accuracy of the work performed.
  • Store completed documents in designated locations.
  • Respond to requests for information and access relevant files.
  • Print information when required.

Other Duties:

* Comply with all company policies, including human resources, security, and department policies.

  • Assist the team leader and/or billing supervisor with other miscellaneous duties as needed.

Requirements:

* Ability to write quickly and accurately, with few spelling mistakes and few errors.

  • Good command of English (both oral and written).
  • Ability to spell well.
  • Ability to work alone.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to stay focused and concentrate on task.
  • Working knowledge of basic office equipment and computer hardware.
  • Working knowledge of email and telephone communication.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment.
  • Willingness to take direction from others.
  • Good work ethic.

Essential Qualifications:

* 1-2 years of experience in data entry or a related field.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong typing skills (at least 40 wpm).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • Experience with data management software and systems.
  • Knowledge of database management and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
