Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service support to our clients, including:
- Typing/merging, proofing, printing, and mailing correspondence: Ensure that all correspondence is accurate, complete, and timely.
- Communicating verbally and in writing with external customers: Provide clear and concise information to external customers, while also gathering and processing information as needed.
- Fostering effective working relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, while also identifying areas for potential improvement.
- Assisting with and participating in Review Team: Collaborate with the Review Team to identify areas for potential improvement, while also providing input and feedback on process improvements.
- Answering the Beneficiary Helpline: Utilize the hunt group and available light functions to answer calls and provide assistance to beneficiaries.
- Determining how to best assist callers: Use your knowledge of arenaflex services and external agencies to determine the best course of action for each caller.
- Entering referrals into the CMS system: Accurately and efficiently enter referrals into the CMS system, while also ensuring that all necessary information is included.
- Providing intake for all appeals: Gather and process information for all appeals, while also ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
- Proficient in customer service guidelines and standards: Stay up-to-date on customer service guidelines and standards, while also using this knowledge to provide exceptional service to our clients.
- Utilizing internal quality control tools: Use internal quality control tools to assess your own work and team processes, while also identifying areas for improvement.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with post-high school business courses a plus.
- Medical terminology desired: While not required, medical terminology is a desirable skill for this role.
- Excellent verbal communication skills: You must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with external customers, while also being courteous and patient.
- Good grammar, punctuation, spelling, hyphenation, and written communications skills: You must be able to write clearly and accurately, while also being mindful of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Customer-focused, results-oriented, and capable of building and maintaining relationships: You must be able to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, while also being results-oriented and customer-focused.
- General knowledge of a PC-based computer system: You should have a general knowledge of PC-based computer systems, with the ability to learn additional software packages as needed.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments: You must be able to multi-task and prioritize assignments, while also being able to work independently.
- Two to three years clerical experience: You should have two to three years of clerical experience, including word processing, various filing systems, and telephone customer service responsibilities.
- Prior work in a healthcare setting or medical terminology recommended: While not required, prior work in a healthcare setting or medical terminology is a plus.
Experience
While not required, prior experience in a healthcare setting or with medical terminology is a plus. You should also have a strong background in customer service, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.
