Maryland Social Worker, Counselor or Therapist
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Maryland-based Social Worker, Counselor, or Therapist to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health and behavioral support to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex emotional, psychological, and developmental challenges through evidence-based interventions and personalized care plans. We have remote/ telehealth positions available. This is a contracted position. As a 1099 employee you have the freedom to be your own boss and manage your own schedule. Part-time clinicians must be able to provide at least 5 hours a week. Full-time clinicians must be able to provide 15 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), ERP, psychodynamic therapy, and crisis intervention techniques.
- Manage patient records with precision using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality and data security.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts, facilitate referrals, and ensure seamless patient care across medical and community settings.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.
- Valid Maryland licensure or certification as a (LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, LCPC, LCMFT) to provide mental health therapy services to our clients.
- Proven experience working with children, families and individual providing therapeutic services.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding systems (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical documentation standards including HIPAA compliance..
- Strong skills in patient assessment, intake procedures, group therapy facilitation, case management, and crisis management techniques.
- Ability to utilize EMR systems efficiently for documentation and data collection purposes.
