Job Overview

As an Experienced Full Stack Data Entry Specialist, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team of researchers, engineers, and experts working together to develop and deploy responsible AI solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining focal assets and tooling for identifying, estimating, or mitigating potential damages caused by generative AI systems
• Collaborating with Microsoft product groups to drive proactive approaches to trustworthy AI
• Contributing to or driving research projects aimed at advancing the state-of-the-art in responsible AI
• Working with partners from diverse backgrounds and disciplines to tackle complex sociotechnical challenges
• Presenting your work to internal and external stakeholders, including Microsoft leadership

Key Responsibilities

* Foster focal assets and tooling for identifying, estimating, or mitigating potential damages caused by generative AI systems

• Collaborate with Microsoft product groups to drive proactive approaches to trustworthy AI
• Contribute to or drive research projects aimed at advancing the state-of-the-art in responsible AI
• Work with partners from diverse backgrounds and disciplines to tackle complex sociotechnical challenges
• Present your work to internal and external stakeholders, including Microsoft leadership
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of AI systems, including generative models and multimodal models
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in responsible AI and related fields

Essential Qualifications

* Four-year degree in Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years of relevant experience (e.g., predictive analytics, research)

• Or Graduate degree in Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years of relevant experience (e.g., predictive analytics, research)
• Or Doctorate in Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) of relevant experience (e.g., predictive analytics, research)
• Or comparable experience
• Proven experience working with AI systems, including generative models and multimodal models
• Strong understanding of AI ethics and responsible AI development
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Graduate degree in Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years of relevant experience (e.g., predictive analytics, research)

• Or Doctorate in Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years of relevant experience (e.g., predictive analytics, research)
• Or identical experience
• Experience working at the intersection of generative AI and trustworthy AI, trust, and security
• Experience approaching fairness as a sociotechnical challenge rather than an algorithmic one
• Experience working with products and services that incorporate generative AI
• Experience working collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team across multiple disciplines
• Experience working with partners from diverse backgrounds and disciplines
• Ability to advance independently in new areas, including by reading academic papers
• Ability to work independently and rapidly on complex and new codebases
• Strong scholarly interest and fascination for tackling real-world challenges
