About the Role

As a Lead Data Science Consultant, you'll be responsible for owning the full analytics development cycle, including:

• Mining and analyzing data to identify trends and patterns
• Building predictive models using NLP and Machine Learning techniques
• Identifying performance issues and opportunities
• Delivering meaningful insights and building documentation of validation methods and results

You'll work closely with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to drive recommendations and strategies based on data-driven insights, trends, and patterns. You'll also have the opportunity to lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead complex initiatives by utilizing data-driven, advanced analytical, statistical techniques, algorithms, or models to make actionable insights, trends, recommendations, including those that are cross-functional with broad impact

• Build support for and deliver recommendations in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring an expertise in analytical thinking and strong technical skillset to resolve business issues
• Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to drive recommendations and strategies based on data-driven, analytical insights, trends, and patterns that will resolve issues and achieve goals
• Execute complex analytical experiments and create innovative statistical models to discover solutions for abstract business problems across various domains
• Interpret and analyze data, using advanced analytics modeling methods and programming, to recommend ways to solve problems and influence business decisions and strategies
• Provide consultation to peers on data science best practices, methods, and tools to leverage
• Communicate actionable insights and recommendations using data in a digestible format to a non-technical audience of varying levels

Essential Qualifications

* 5+ years of data science experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

• Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science

Desired Qualifications

* Fluency in SAS, Python, SQL (Teradata)

• Deep experience with Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP)
• Large Language Model (LLM) experience preferred
• Extensive model development and model validation experience including end-to-end model build efforts from discovery to deployment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
• Adept at designing/performing model testing, including explainability, robustness, fairness testing, etc.
• Proficient in creating accompanying documentation in model development process

Job Expectations

* Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

• This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
• Ability to work on site per arenaflex's standard operating model in one of the listed locations
