Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing phone support to patients receiving life-saving specialty medication treatment. You'll be the primary point of contact for patients, handling new prescription requests and reorders, and working closely with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to ensure seamless order processing. Your exceptional communication skills and ability to navigate complex medical terminology will be essential in resolving patient issues and ensuring timely medication delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide phone support to patients receiving specialty medication treatment, handling new prescription requests and reorders
- Coordinate and handle new patient drug requests and reorders, including verifying and renewing benefits
- Assist patients in deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into the pharmacy data system
- Collect and process copay payments, obtain approvals, and work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve order issues
- Utilize Windows-based applications, such as Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications, to manage patient information and resolve issues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring timely and efficient order processing
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and resolve patient issues, ensuring timely medication delivery and meeting financial and clinical expectations
Essential Qualifications
* One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone
- One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
- One year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and preference
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, insurance companies, and internal teams
Preferred Qualifications
* Six months of experience resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone
- Medical healthcare experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, medications, and clinical terminology
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on patient satisfaction and empathy

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, insurance companies, and internal teams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex medical terminology and resolve patient issues
