You will require a deep understanding of technical concepts and the ability to communicate them effectively to various audiences for a key program with the Department of Veterans Affairs.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, edit, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, system guides, and training materialsCollaborate with engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand the documentation requirementsEnsure all documentation meets the organizational standards for clarity, accuracy, and completenessPeriodically review and update existing documentation to reflect the latest product updates and industry standardsParticipate in design and review meetings to understand product changes and ensure documentation is updated accordingly508 Compliance for all work productsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, or a related field. Additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for the required educationMinimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in software developmentExperience with modern development frameworks and toolsStrong understanding of software development methodologies and best practicesExcellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detailProficiency in technical writing tools and softwareStrong attention to detail and excellent grammar and writing skillsAbility to understand and explain complex technical concepts clearly and conciselyWorking ConditionsStandard Business hours are Monday through Friday. Occasional extended or weekend hours may be required based on operational needs.
