Job Summary

As an Evening Specimen Processor & Data Entry Specialist, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory processes. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Receiving and routing laboratory specimens for testing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Data entering lab requests, double-checking test orders, and identifying areas for corrective action
• Working in a laboratory environment with biological hazards and adhering to PPE requirements
• Championing safety, compliance, and quality control standards
• Providing exceptional patient care through efficient and accurate specimen processing

Key Responsibilities

* Receive and process laboratory specimens for testing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Data enter lab requests, double-check test orders, and identify areas for corrective action
• Work in a laboratory environment with biological hazards and adhere to PPE requirements
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control standards
• Provide exceptional patient care through efficient and accurate specimen processing
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure seamless specimen processing and testing
• Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to regulatory requirements
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Essential Qualifications

* High School Diploma or equivalent

• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
• Typing proficiency, including 10-key
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications

* 2 years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing

• Data entry experience in a production environment
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems and software
• Certification in phlebotomy or medical laboratory technology
