Job Summary

The Provider Data Entry Specialist will be responsible for receiving and processing provider information from external sources, ensuring accurate and timely updates to our health plan system. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

• Receiving and processing provider information from external sources, including demographic and contract affiliation data
• Validating provided information to ensure accuracy and integrity
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date provider records in our computer system
• Conducting regular audits of loaded provider records to ensure quality and financial accuracy
• Providing documented feedback to external sources as necessary
• Supporting system/health plan integration efforts and training existing staff and new hires
• Assisting in system-related testing activities

• Support for system/health plan integration efforts and training of existing staff and new hires
• Assistance in system-related testing activities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Adherence to Managed Care Organization's policies and confidentiality requirements
• Reliable attendance based on the agreed-upon schedule
• Understanding and compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations
• Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers, and customers

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Previous experience in a medical office setting working in provider credentialing or related position

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Adherence to Managed Care Organization's policies and confidentiality requirements
• Reliable attendance based on the agreed-upon schedule
• Understanding and compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations
• Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers, and customers
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite

Required Education and Experience

* High School Diploma or equivalent GED

• 1 year of managed care experience and/or medical office experience with coding or credentialing experience
• At least 1 year of medical office experience for this role
