Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Licensed Customer Service Representative to join our underwriting department. As a key member of our team, you'll provide exceptional customer service, address client needs and concerns, and maintain a working understanding of underwriting compliance guidelines. This role requires an active Property & Casualty or Personal Lines insurance license, prior experience in an insurance service role, and a passion for client interaction.
Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:
- Addressing client needs and concerns via phone and email
- Maintaining and utilizing a working understanding of underwriting compliance guidelines
- Answering back-to-back inbound calls and making outbound calls as needed
- Establishing customer relationships and following up with customers
- Providing prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service
- Servicing existing customers with endorsements, payments, policy changes, and cancellations/non-renewals
- Completing necessary documentation quickly and efficiently
- Following and adhering to underwriting compliance and service standards
- Conducting risk analysis and evaluating underwriting quality of applicants
- Evaluating application factors/details to appropriately match premium to underwriting risk
- Meeting all production goals
- Completing new business applications for existing customers as needed
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active P&C or Personal Lines insurance license in your state of residence
- Prior experience working in a customer-facing insurance service role
- Demonstrated success in a team environment
- Proficiency in multi-tasking, follow-through, and follow-up
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Positive customer and quality focus
- Upbeat and positive attitude
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Proactive in problem-solving
- Ability to perform critical thinking and reasoning

Desired Qualifications
While not required, we're looking for candidates with:
- Associate or bachelor's degree
- Prior underwriting experience
- Prior experience working on a hybrid/remote team
- Prior insurance sales experience
Work Environment and Culture
As a remote-based team member, you'll have the flexibility to work from anywhere in the continental US. Our office is located in Cherry Hill, NJ, and we offer a dynamic work environment that values passion, excellence, and community. Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $43-46k ($21-23/hr) depending on experience level, with overtime eligibility. Our benefits package includes:

Weekly Schedule
You'll work a 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with rotating Saturdays (about 1 every 4 weeks).
