What You'll Do

As a Work From Home Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting with the implementation and preservation of internal Data and Analytics and reporting processes
• Researching and staying abreast of rapidly evolving data requirements, ensuring essential machine and method adjustments are carried out to meet those requirements
• Identifying potential method enhancements and proposing implementation strategies
• Developing and presenting information in communicating data-related topics, including reporting
• Analyzing the need for new systems or upgrades to the existing software to meet business needs and making decisions if they are needed or not
• Recommending solutions that adhere to business standards, considering the impact on upstream and downstream systems and stakeholders
• Closely monitoring the project from inception to final touch and assisting in User Acceptance Testing
• Working on unique tasks related to data as assigned

What You'll Bring

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• 2+ years of previous experience as a Data Engineer or equivalent experience
• Experience with Tableau or any visualization tool, Data Warehousing, Data Modeling
• Strong experience with relational databases like SQL Server, MySQL, and Vertica. NoSQL databases experience is a plus
• Experience with user-defined workflows (e.g., Airflow)
• Experience with writing Kafka clients and producers
• Experience with Apache Spark Streaming and Hive is a plus
• Problem-solving skills, being action-oriented with the ability to approach problems in new ways
• Working knowledge of data control software like Airflow, or other ETL tools is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to design an effective solution

Expected Compensation

$30 - $40/Hour salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay presented may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The overall repayment package for this function may include other factors depending on the location presented. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a worker receives a proposal of employment.
