Experienced Quality Assurance Manager – Food Safety and Quality Control

Key Responsibilities

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing quality management systems and strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Conducting audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality management systems and regulatory requirements
• Investigating and resolving quality-related issues and complaints
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Providing training and guidance to plant personnel on quality management systems and regulatory requirements
• Developing and implementing corrective action plans to address quality-related issues and prevent recurrence
• Conducting risk assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Collaborating with external auditors and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Developing and implementing quality metrics and reporting to track progress and identify areas for improvement

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as food science, quality assurance, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on food safety and quality control
• Experience working with regulatory agencies, such as the FDA and USDA
• Experience with quality management systems, such as HACCP and GFSI
• Strong knowledge of food safety and quality control principles and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in a relevant field, such as food science or quality assurance

• Experience working in a food manufacturing environment
• Experience with quality management software and systems
• Certification in quality assurance, such as CQF or CQA
• Experience with auditing and inspection procedures
