Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Engineer in the Artificial Intelligence and Data Organization (AI&D) at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and deploying production-stage data pipelines using a range of technologies from the Hadoop stack, including HDFS, Hive, Spark, Streaming, HBase, Kafka, Oozie, and NiFi. You will also work with big data analytics tools such as Teradata, SQL Server, and OLAP to extract insights from large datasets and drive business decisions. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Designing and building scalable data pipelines to provide key insights to front-end applications and marketers for quick decision-making and effective channel orchestration
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop new data, expand schema requirements, and maintain metadata
• Building semantic layers (curated data), measurement tables for reports and analytics, and coordinating with offshore teams for design and implementation
• Identifying ways to improve data reliability, performance, and quality
• Using big data tools to address business issues and identify responsibilities that can be automated
• Designing and implementing truth tables, reports, and dashboards using Tableau, Looker, and other tools
• Analyzing existing Teradata/SQL queries for performance improvement

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced data engineer who is passionate about working with big data, artificial intelligence, and cloud-based technologies. You should have a strong background in database design, development, and deployment, as well as experience with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases. Some of the key qualifications we're looking for include:

• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of work experience
• 3+ years of experience in database design, development, and deployment
• 3+ years of experience in designing, building, and deploying production-stage data pipelines using tools from the Hadoop stack
• 1+ year of experience in cloud data engineering, ideally with Google Cloud and Big Query
• Experience with dashboard development in Tableau, Qlik, and/or Looker
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
• Teradata/Big Data Analytics Certification
• Knowledge of the telecommunications industry
• Experience working with a distributed team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
