Experienced Telephone Caller – Connecting with RNIB Beneficiaries and Supporters

The Role

As a Telephone Caller, you will be responsible for making outbound calls to RNIB beneficiaries and supporters, providing them with relevant information, support, and resources to help them navigate their journey with sight loss. You will also be responsible for making brief, accurate notes in the customer contact record to ensure that our team has a clear understanding of each individual's needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities

* Make outbound calls to RNIB beneficiaries and supporters to provide them with essential information, support, and resources

• Provide a friendly, empathetic, and non-judgmental service, listening well and building rapport with each individual
• Make brief, accurate notes in the customer contact record to ensure that our team has a clear understanding of each individual's needs and preferences
• Work collaboratively with our team to ensure that each individual receives the support and resources they need
• Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to ensure that you are up-to-date with the latest information and best practices

Essential Qualifications

* Aged 18 or over

• Two references
• Reliable broadband and a laptop or PC to access an RNIB virtual desktop
• A quiet and confidential space at home when making calls, so that neither your screen nor conversations are visible/audible to others in your household

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience of working with individuals with sight loss or other disabilities

• Experience of making outbound calls or working in a customer-facing role
• Knowledge of RNIB services and resources
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances

• Ability to listen well and build rapport with each individual
• Sociable nature and ability to put people at ease
• Confidence with IT and experience of MS Windows and common software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
