Title: Adjunct Faculty - Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice Location: Keene State College Job Type: Part time job requisition id: JR8009 Job Description: USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub app The Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminology at Keene State College is seeking qualified applicants for adjunct faculty positions for the Fall 2026 semester. These positions are to fill three course openings at the introductory and advanced undergraduate level. Specific courses include: Introduction to Sociology (SOC 125); Sociological Research Methods (SOC 301); Social Problems (SOC 310). All courses must be taught in person. No applications seeking to teach remotely will be considered. Job Duties (50%) Design and delivery of course content for credit courses (45%) Preparation of lesson plans and course materials. Assessment of student learning. Assignment of grades. Referring of students to support services where necessary. When appropriate provision of supplemental instruction and mentorship to students. (5%) Comply with USNH and KSC policies; participate in appropriate department and/or unit meetings. Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience: Minimum qualifications for consideration are a completed graduate degree, an academic background in Sociology, and a record of success in in-person teaching at the College/University level Preferred Qualifications: Education qualifications listed above. Lead-instructor teaching experience at the College/University level (in-person). Knowledge of and ability to use Canvas learning information platform.
Compensation
Pay Range: $800/credit or $840/credit for those with terminal degrees Keene State College is located in the scenic Monadnock region of Southwest New Hampshire and is an affiliate of the University System of New Hampshire. Located approximately 2 hours from Boston or Hartford CT, and 4 hours from New York City, the region contains many opportunities to enjoy outdoor recreation, cultural events, and a strong sense of community.
