Healthcare Recruiter – Contractor
Job Description:
- Managing the end-to-end recruitment process for healthcare and patient-facing roles, including posting job ads, sourcing talent, reviewing applicants, scheduling interviews, conducting phone screens, extending offers, conducting reference checks, and submitting background checks and Provider credentialing information
- Orienting and supporting new employees throughout the onboarding process, including any role-specific compliance or credentialing requirements
- Collaborating with hiring managers, clinical leads, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand role requirements and creating compelling job ads that resonate with healthcare professionals
- Providing timely, transparent communication to candidates regarding interview and hiring statuses, maintaining a high-touch experience suited to a competitive healthcare talent market
- Monitoring and maintaining recruitment metrics and reports, with attention to time-to-fill benchmarks for patient-critical roles
- Researching the healthcare hiring landscape, including talent availability in telehealth and virtual care, to generate innovative sourcing strategies and strengthen our recruiting efforts
- Participating in weekly meetings and updating team(s) and hiring managers on recruiting efforts and candidate pipeline
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of recruiting experience, preferably within a healthcare, telehealth, or patient services environment
- Background and expertise in various Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), with comfort navigating high-volume hiring workflows
- Experience conducting phone screens, partnering with clinical and operational hiring managers, and making confident candidate recommendations
- Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, and HRIS platforms commonly used in healthcare settings (e.g., Workday, ADP, UKG)
- Ability to work remotely and support distributed teams across all time zones
- Ability to apply sound, unbiased judgment when evaluating candidates across a diverse range of healthcare and patient-facing roles
- Experience writing or refining job descriptions for healthcare, patient support, or care coordination roles
- In-house recruiting experience within a healthcare organization, health-tech company, or telehealth provider
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple requisitions, with clear and proactive communication to clinical and operational stakeholders
- Quick to learn role-specific nuances — including terminology, compliance considerations, and scope-of-practice distinctions across healthcare functions
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Clinical Operations, Compliance, Patient Experience, and Finance
