AML Business Analyst I
Join our client's newly established Center of Excellence (COE) as a Name Screening Analyst. This is a high-volume, entry-level role focused on the first level of AML (Anti-Money Laundering) screening, ensuring the integrity of our customer data against global watchlists. The ideal candidate is "quick" and efficient. Because the role involves looking at specific data points (Name, DOB, Location) and moving rapidly to the next case, we are looking for individuals who can maintain focus and accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment. salary: $27.87 - $36.84 per hour shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM education: Bachelors
Responsibilities
Sanctions Screening & Transaction Monitoring
- Watchlist Clearing: Conduct initial reviews of customer data against watchlists, analyzing Name, Location, and DOB. Apply a standardized Scoring Matrix to disprove or escalate matches.
- Transaction Monitoring: Monitor financial transactions to detect suspicious activity, anomalies, and potential indicators of money laundering or financial crime.
Investigation & Compliance
- Case Investigations: Investigate suspected financial crimes, building and maintaining detailed case files from inception to resolution.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with AML regulations; prepare and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) with regulatory authorities.
Operational Excellence
- High-Volume Productivity: Meet a baseline target of 250 cases per shift to clear backlogs, with a track record of reaching 300–400 cases.
- Collaboration: Participate in daily MS Teams updates and weekly 15-minute Friday huddles to align on performance, weekly digests, and process updates.
