Job Summary

We're seeking a Senior Customer Support Engineer to provide advanced technical support to our customers and partners. As a key member of our team, you'll apply your system-level expertise to resolve complex customer issues, while working collaboratively with our team to drive success. This is a hybrid role, with 2 days of work-from-home and 3 days in our office, located in Marlborough or Bedford, MA.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide advanced technical support to customers and partners, resolving complex system-level issues

  • Collaborate with our team to drive success and achieve customer satisfaction goals
  • Apply system-level expertise to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide 24/7 support as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and customer satisfaction

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Technology (or equivalent work experience)

  • Excellent external customer support skills, including customer-facing oral and written communications, managing hot customers, and troubleshooting complex system problems
  • Linux/Unix triage skills
  • Networking triage skills (networking, and networked storage technologies)
  • Scripting skills
  • Experience with backup applications (e.g. Backup Exec, Commvault, IBM Spectrum Protect, NetBackup, Oracle RMAN, Veeam)

Nice to Have Skills

* Experience with cloud-based technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with DevOps tools and practices (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible)
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
