The Role

As an Entry Level Data Entry Clerk at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for inputting data and making changes to existing data figures in our digital databases. Your duties will include:

  • Inputting data from paper documents into digital spreadsheets
  • Updating order statuses for customers
  • Double-checking your work to ensure accuracy
  • Compiling, verifying, and sorting information according to priorities
  • Reviewing data for deficiencies or errors and correcting any incompatibilities
  • Researching and obtaining further information for incomplete documents
  • Applying data program techniques and procedures
  • Generating reports and storing completed work in designated locations
  • Scanning documents and printing files when needed

Responsibilities

* Keep information confidential and maintain the highest level of data security

  • Insert customer and account data by inputting text-based and numerical information from source documents within time limits
  • Compile, verify the accuracy, and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible, and check the output
  • Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents
  • Apply data program techniques and procedures
  • Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations, and perform backup operations
  • Scan documents and print files when needed

Requirements

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Strong computer skills, including touch typing and database management tools
  • Ability to enter data into a computer quickly and accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Experience working on a Data Entry Clerk position is a plus

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 1-2 years of experience in data entry or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field

  • Experience working with database management systems
  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools
  • Certification in data entry or a related field
