Experienced Data Entry Specialist - Prescriber Assessment and Compliance

Job Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Specialist, you will:

  • Research and analyze managed substance orders placed manually at the store level to determine if they are suspicious based on ordering patterns and circumstances, and take appropriate actions to educate the individual on proper ordering practices.
  • Generate reports and provide data to DEA agents on dispensing patterns, prescriber or patient profiles within a 48-hour window.
  • Build ad hoc queries to extract data outside of regular reporting requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge about issues such as managed substance ordering practices, Good Faith Dispensing policies, and DEA licensing requirements.
  • Assist stores and field supervision with questions via email and phone on various related topics.
  • Assist analysts in developing and reviewing store audits for managed substance losses.
  • Collaborate with Pharmacy Managers and Supervisors to ensure losses are reported within the required timeframe and with 100% accuracy.
  • Manage prescriber pricing decision system, validate and update prescriber data, and collaborate with Pharmacists to ensure any prescription blocking is legitimate.
  • Research and analyze requests for increases to managed substance allocations, making informed decisions based on collaboration with Pharmacy Managers, Supervisors, and object vendors.
  • Mitigate risk to the organization by ensuring due diligence is completed and documented.
  • Assist in the implementation and updating of Good Faith Dispensing and Target Drug Good Faith Dispensing policies.
  • Utilize skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and database querying to assist analysts in developing displays and education for store staff and supervision.

Essential Qualifications

* High School Diploma/GED and at least three years of experience as a pharmacy technician.

  • Required certification in Certified Pharmacy Technician as granted by PTCB.
  • Experience with prescriber licensing requirements (NPI, DEA, and state licenses).
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with database querying.
  • Experience with reading and reporting data to identify problems, trends, or exceptions to drive outcomes and find solutions.
  • Experience speaking effectively (written and verbal) as suitable for the needs of the audience.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with internal arenaflex systems, including SIMS and IC.

  • Experience with managed substance ordering practices within arenaflex (PDQ's, RxQuick Order, and Passport).
