Key Responsibilities:

* Manage and interact with clients and staff on a daily basis, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues in a timely manner

• Receive and process client requests via fax, email, referrals, and other channels, entering data into proprietary software and following through on the review process until completion
• Obtain authorization from adjusters to proceed with the review for all provider referrals when required
• Assign UR requests to a physician reviewer based on protocols and state guidelines
• Pay close attention to detail and be timely with all responses, either via telephone or email
• Perform other duties as assigned, including maintaining various logs and participating in periodic, random QA reviews of work for accuracy and adherence to protocol and best practices

Essential Qualifications:

* 3 years of experience in utilization review in Workers Comp

• 2 years of experience in medical terminology
• 3 years of experience in Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced remote environment and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with proprietary software and utilization review processes

• Knowledge of state guidelines and protocols for Workers Comp utilization review
• Certification in medical terminology or utilization review
• Experience working in a remote environment
