What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
As an Experienced Customer Service and Sales Representative, your key responsibilities will include:
- Answering Incoming Phone Calls: Respond to member inquiries, resolving issues efficiently and effectively to ensure quality service.
- Cross-Selling Credit Union Products and Services: Identify opportunities to enhance member relationships by promoting relevant credit union products and services.
- Assisting and Training Members: Provide guidance and support to members in using automated services provided by the credit union, ensuring they have the necessary skills to manage their accounts effectively.
- Complying with Regulations and Completing Account Transaction Requests: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and complete account transaction requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Training Other Service Center Employees: Share your knowledge and expertise with colleagues, providing training and support as needed to ensure seamless service delivery.
What is Required (Qualifications)
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Minimum Educational Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Related Experience: One to twelve months of experience in a call center or branch environment, with a strong understanding of customer service principles and sales techniques.
- MSR Certification: Must be MSR Certified or complete Certification within 3 months of hire.
- Basic Computer Operating Skills: Proficiency in basic computer operating systems and intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.
- Effective Communication Skills: Ability to communicate patiently and courteously with members, both verbally and in writing.
