Why You'll Love This Job
As a Customer Service Representative for American Airlines, you'll be part of the Payments and Digital Strategy team in the arenaflex Credit Union. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Completing daily tasks related to check processing, object processing, direct deposits, and budget transfers at the arenaflex Credit Union
- Coordinating return items with contributors, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions
- Assisting other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and associated Accounting standard ledger balancing
- Working member cases/assignments
- Following and maintaining guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws
- Processing mortgage payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks
- Reviewing, examining, and approving Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
- Logging, reviewing, and making necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
- Processing Stop Pays and Check Batching
- Completing daily balancing and department closing
- Obtaining information from contributors for the timely and correct processing of international and domestic budget transfer requests
- Researching and verifying incoming and outgoing budget transfer information
- Communicating with vendors to process budget transfers
- Understanding and being familiar with outgoing and incoming budget transfer laws
- Depositing check returns, reviewing member check returns on draft changes, processing member checks, affirming contributors for outgoing budget transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing budget transfers
- Completing daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, international collections, and legal fees
All You'll Need for Success
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- A high school degree or equivalent
- Intermediate Excel and Word experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work prolonged hours in support of business needs
- Ability to exercise excellent customer service skills
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple responsibilities, and function as an integral part of a team
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and review data
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines under high volume pressure
- Ability to cross-train and perform any position assigned within the department
- Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and contributors
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to self-motivate with strong employer skills and ability for interest to detail
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain excellent performance and attendance
- Must pass relevant American Airlines and Credit Union pre-employment compliance exams
