The Role
As a Senior Software Development Engineer in the Information Stage Group, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-scale data platforms to support arenaflex's data-driven initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data solutions that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with designers, engineers, and data scientists to design and develop high-scale data platforms that meet arenaflex's data-driven requirements
- Develop and maintain scalable and high-performance data pipelines using Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, and other relevant technologies
- Work with data engineers to design and implement data storage solutions using Hadoop, Hive, and other relevant technologies
- Develop and maintain data processing and analytics tools using SQL, Apache Spark, and other relevant technologies
- Collaborate with data scientists to develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of high-quality, maintainable code
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth and development of the team
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and contribute to the development of arenaflex's technology roadmap
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 4-6 years of experience in software development, with a focus on data engineering and architecture
- Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, including data pipelines, data storage, and data processing
- Experience with Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, Hadoop, Hive, and other relevant technologies
- Strong programming skills in at least one language, such as Java, Scala, Go, or Python
- Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 6-8 years of experience in software development, with a focus on data engineering and architecture
- Experience with data lake house architectures, such as Data Bricks
- Experience with continuous streaming data pipelines using Apache Flink or Apache Kafka
- Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and experience with developing and implementing machine learning models and algorithms
