About the Role
As a Customer Engineer Manager, you will work closely with our Deals and Client Designing (CE) authority to determine appropriate staffing levels to support annualized business objectives, develop work orders, and lead interview groups to fill open positions. You will evaluate the CE group's go-to-market readiness, identify gaps in CE preparedness, and build plans to ensure the group is properly prepared and equipped to act on the side of annualized business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with Deals and Client Designing (CE) authority to determine staffing levels and develop work orders to support annualized business objectives
- Evaluate the CE group's go-to-market readiness and identify gaps in CE preparedness
- Develop plans to ensure the group is properly prepared and equipped to act on the side of annualized business objectives
- Work with Google Workspace Outreach group leadership to identify, qualify, and target inclusion for business opportunities
- Participate in key records as chief support and establish relationships across client districts
- Collaborate with Business Record, Client Service, Product managers, Client Arrangements, and Design group to resolve product issues affecting pre- and post-sales customer satisfaction
Essential Qualifications
* Four-year college education in Software Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 4 years of experience as a specialized deals engineer lead in a SaaS or cloud environment, or a client-facing role
- Experience driving Client Design and working with design teams
Preferred Qualifications
* MBA or Graduate degree in Software Engineering
- Experience serving in the capacity of a pre-sales, field designing chief, or as a client-facing field engineer
- Knowledge of PaaS, SaaS, IaaS, public cloud, and related technical concepts
- Ability to work across various time zones
