Core Responsibilities:

As a Data Entry Specialist – Prior Authorization Operations, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Entering data from scanned and processed images into our data capture system with high accuracy and efficiency
  • Meeting expected hourly production volume goals while maintaining quality levels above minimums set by management
  • Increasing speed and difficulty of tasks as expected with training and practice
  • Maintaining awareness of and actively participating in the Corporate Compliance Program
  • Maintaining a neat and orderly workstation
  • Assisting with other projects as assigned by management
  • Demonstrating prompt and dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Working comfortably in a production environment
  • Possessing excellent organization skills and reliability in task completion and follow-up

Essential Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent data entry skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficient typing skills (35wpm / 98% accuracy minimum)
  • Basic math skills
  • Computer knowledge and experience with data entry software
  • Excellent organization skills and reliability in task completion and follow-up
  • Ability to work in a production environment with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Previous experience in a data entry or prior authorization role
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry terminology and procedures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
