Job Summary

As our Senior Director, Global Head, Adversarial Abuse/Analytics, you will be responsible for leading our Adversarial Abuse team in identifying and eliminating malicious actors, and our Business Analytics team in producing insights, estimating uncaught abuses, and distributing Transparency Reports for countries around the world. You will work closely with our Product Management and Design teams to develop information systems and tools to stay ahead of rapidly evolving abuse patterns. You will also collaborate with our Strategy Development team to create policies using account, social, and content signals to describe harmful behavior.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the Adversarial Abuse team in identifying and eliminating malicious actors, including account takeovers, spam, commitment abuse, and more

  • Collaborate with the Business Analytics team to produce insights, estimate uncaught abuses, and distribute Transparency Reports for countries around the world
  • Understand, anticipate, and insightfully mitigate risks from new, scaling industry patterns (e.g., generative AI)
  • Work with the Strategy Development team to create policies using account, social, and content signals to describe harmful behavior
  • Deliver high-quality and productive operational execution (e.g., quality, service levels) in a global team working 24x7
  • Attract, retain, develop, and foster exceptional talent
  • Manage accelerations with quick turnaround times required to circle back, provide data and content-driven insights, and implement solutions while building relationships with key cross-functional partners to launch new products and policies that effectively prevent adversarial abuse

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, statistics)

  • Four years of experience in a related field, or equivalent common sense experience
  • Two years of experience working with risk management, abuse fighting at scale, and building/conveying analytical models
  • Two years of experience working with design teams that form data foundation and ML models
  • Two years of experience driving teams with the ability to work non-standard weeks as accelerations require

Preferred Qualifications

* Postgraduate education in a related field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, statistics)

  • Two years of experience with investigation of large datasets and anomaly detection
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in adversarial abuse activities
  • Knowledge of SQL/R/Matlab
  • Exceptional influencing and leadership skills and the ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners
  • Excellent business judgment, critical, and analytical skills, including using data to drive strategy and business action with the ability to work in a rapidly changing industry and manage ambiguity while minimizing uncertainty through quantitative insights
