Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced and skilled Customer Service Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our customer service team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Handling customer inquiries and resolving issues related to Aviva Travel Insurance policies
  • Processing customer requests for medical and trip upgrades
  • Dealing with complex medical queries and screening customers' medical conditions
  • Adhering to mandatory call scripts on all calls
  • Using multiple systems simultaneously to provide efficient and effective service
  • Owning and handling FCA-regulated complaints through to completion
  • Identifying and recording vulnerability, where patience, empathy, and support are critical
  • Complying with strict FCA regulations around compliance with a key focus on customer protection

Key Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional customer service to Aviva Travel Insurance customers, handling their queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner

  • Process customer requests for medical and trip upgrades, ensuring accurate and efficient service
  • Deal with complex medical queries and screen customers' medical conditions, providing empathetic and supportive service
  • Adhere to mandatory call scripts on all calls, ensuring consistency and quality of service
  • Use multiple systems simultaneously to provide efficient and effective service, minimizing wait times and maximizing customer satisfaction
  • Own and handle FCA-regulated complaints through to completion, ensuring resolution and customer satisfaction
  • Identify and record vulnerability, providing patient, empathetic, and supportive service to customers in need
  • Comply with strict FCA regulations around compliance, ensuring customer protection and regulatory adherence

Essential Qualifications

* 1-2 years of experience in a customer service environment, preferably in the insurance industry

  • Proficient in using PC systems within a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills, with the ability to establish collaborative customer relationships
  • Comprehensive experience in a customer service environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and retention
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt
  • Strong written skills, with the ability to show attention to detail and provide clear, concise communication
  • Professional and friendly manner, with a good attitude and the ability to interact with diverse customers
