Job Overview

As a Remote Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for managing tasks with a strong sense of urgency while effectively multi-tasking. You will review all orders meticulously for completeness and accuracy, accurately interpret and read prescriptions, verify patient details and confirm proper physician authorization, assess all orders for insurance approval and process accordingly, scan prescriber information into our documentation system, establish patient records for prescriptions, and provide necessary phone support, including both inbound and outbound calls.

  • Accurately interpret and read prescriptions, verifying that all necessary information is included and accurate.
  • Verify patient details and confirm proper physician authorization, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Assess all orders for insurance approval and process accordingly, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to secure approval.
  • Scan prescriber information into our documentation system, ensuring that all necessary information is accurately recorded.
  • Establish patient records for prescriptions, ensuring that all necessary information is accurately recorded and up-to-date.
  • Provide necessary phone support, including both inbound and outbound calls, ensuring that all customer inquiries are addressed promptly and efficiently.

Required Skills

* Exceptional attention to detail in reviewing and processing orders, with a focus on accuracy and precision.

  • Proficient ability to read and interpret prescriptions accurately, with a strong understanding of pharmacy terminology and procedures.

Qualifications

* A verifiable High School Diploma or GED is a mandatory requirement.

  • Attendance consistency is required for the first 90 days of employment, with a focus on maintaining a high level of productivity and performance.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in a pharmacy data intake or similar role, with a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and procedures.
  • An active Pharmacy Technician License with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy is essential, with a strong understanding of pharmacy laws and regulations.
